Who we are?

Trinidad and Tobago claims the right to be the very first network established in 1995, just after the United Nations Beijing x 5 Conference on Women, here the women advocated for the recognition of rural women, following in the same year the Organization of American States (OAS) hosted the First Ladies of the Hemisphere Conference, emerging out of that meeting the First Ladies mandate was to form a body for the focus on rural women. on return to the country the First Lady in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Inter-American Institute for Corporation on Agriculture (IICA) along with established NGO”s held several meetings to determine the right strategy for the launched of the Network of Rural Women Producers Trinidad and Tobago, there we are now celebrating our 20th anniversary in service to rural women.

We were privileged to present earlier this year 2015 at the United Nations Commission  on the Status of Women Annual Conference held at UN Headquarters in New York.
